Francesco Mami

Francesco Mami has held many guises in his journey through dance music. Frankie, is a purist of sound who solidified his strengths in making artistic collaborations and now embarks upon a solo career that bears his name.

"Those that embrace his technical genius come away inspired, sometimes unsure just quite how or why...returning quite like the loyal Remora fish - stuck to this top predator. Let us at least try to answer this: synchronicity, style, grace and finesse are the genetics which ooze through a dab-hand to the big stage, or specialist crowd.

In fact, Mami confidently engages in this open environment. Like the killer from the murky depths you just didn't see and that NASA mission that unveiled something unpredicted and extraordinary. A big bite from out of nowhere coupled with inquisitive shock and amazement, Mami's techno core, rendered with new alkaline dust contextual illusion, lie at the heart of his individual mastery.

Reflected by a glowing and industrious last two years, Mami has been a fellow with the Circo Loco crew at DC10 in Ibiza, played consistently for the last two years at Burning Man (with both Robot Heart and a capacity White Ocean audience). Growing up in 80's Rimini (Italy's very own club-land Mecca) his cellular make-up and early teens were saturated with beats: this osmosis, coupled with an innate craft of understanding and appreciating music, led him into his very own mission of exploration into the Industry, boldly going where no others have, on a catapulted pathway to an evolving and illustrious 'moda'. La moda can be experienced at Cocoricò in Riccione, yet another residency spot.

Recognised immediately and highly regarded by fellow DJ's, he devotes part of his time to teaching...them. As an Apple Logic Pro Certified Trainer and Music Producer, he is the studio-production for System Of Survival. This collaboration of talent (working formerly in partnership under the name of DOS) delivered two remixes on BPItch Control (selected best of 2014), and releases on both Get Physical and Ibadan Records. Inspiring copious numbers of sun-rise junkies together with David Hasert at the infamous Black Rock City: the pair gave birth to an EP, then released on Dantze Records in the following April. This cemented the partnership for the Cologne-based music label, LIKE Records. Further collaborations with Derek Van Beelen D. have allowed Mami to take on new universal dimensions into uncharted waters.

His residency in London and Music Directorship at Mayfair's Club - MNKY HSE, keep him abreast amongst global artists and promoters. The many faces and skills he possesses, within the larger industry, have found him producing for the likes of Acqua Di Parma.

Currently, Mami works to venture into a galaxy...far...far....away: using all his performance experience feedback and studio skills. The truest of live performers on the biggest of stages, not only are you allowed to witness technical skill, you also get a unique show, sampled and catalogued exclusivity by an artist in his prime.
